Gordes, dating back far into history was built into the rocks. Right on top, leaning next to the church, lies the old house with its two big terrasses and a breathtaking view over the plains, the Luberon and the Alpilles.
Inside a large, spiral staircase leads over three floors up into the fascinating light of the Provence. Built around 1700 by a silk worm cultivator it was renovated with love by the owner’s mother together with the Swiss painter Hans Berger and has since then become a cherished holiday and meeting place for the family and friends.
In 2001 the house was once again renovated and modernised with great care and is now very comfortable while retaining the typical charm of the region.
